MCU Icons (Phase 4)

MCU Inspired Icons (Phase 4)

MCU Inspired Icons (Phase 4)

This is an updated version of the MCU icons - figured there’s already a lot in my previous ones, but you can see most of the icons (and the many variations). This will continue on from the last MCU showcase which would’ve been Spider-man: Far From Home.

See the previous collection here: https://www.jeffreydavidson.com.au/mcu-icons

WandaVision (2021)

WandaVision (2021)

The first out of the many MCU shows, I decided on a simple yet clear design - with Wanda’s classic headpiece, and Vision’s mind stone in the center. I left the background grey to symbolise the retro feel that comes with the show and the typical Scarlet Witch red.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)

Using a mixture of Falcon’s classic chest design, along with Bucky’s Wakanda arm on the sides, I decided to even out the playing field for both of them - Falcon being the heart and Bucky surrounding him like a bodyguard.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier v2 (2021)

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier v2 (2021)

SPOILER ALERT:
This is the new suit for Falcon, instead of his previous red, I made a version where he is Captain America.

Loki (2021)

Loki (2021)

This was to be more symbolic of Loki’s initial outfit from the first Marvel’s Avengers movie. His helmet is very iconic, and I thought to not give away too much, apart from the fact that you will be seeing Loki with the outfit he had at the beginning of the Avengers films.

Black Widow (2021)

Black Widow (2021)

This is a pretty classic colour scheme for Black Widow, with her standard logo. You can see variations of her black and white costumes in v2 and v3 below.

Black Widow v2 (2021)

Black Widow v2 (2021)

This was more to have the colour scheme from her white outfit that she dons in the movie for a period of time.

Black Widow v3 (2021)

Black Widow v3 (2021)

Similar to v2, just reversed the black and white, and also with the red logo instead - to give it more colour and looking more modern.

Marvel's What If (2021)

Marvel's What If (2021)

This was a difficult one for me to really conceptualise. I wanted to keep the mystery of the watcher, but also make it unique that it shows (or poses) a question - hence the question mark. I also wanted to incorporate stars to give it more depth and also show that it’s pretty galactical.

Shang-Chi (2021)

Shang-Chi (2021)

This version incorporates the ten rings logo that they used, and the texture/inscription on the actual rings themselves (the actual weapon).

Shang-Chi v2 (2021)

Shang-Chi v2 (2021)

This is a much more simpler concept, with no textures, and reversing the red-black colour scheme.

Shang-Chi v3 (2021)

Shang-Chi v3 (2021)

This is similar to v1, however it incorporates Shang-Chi’s chest armour design instead. I wanted to stay true to the colour scheme so I had kept it red/black, but still had elements of the rings themselves as the textured border.

Eternals (2021)

Eternals (2021)

This one was a little tricky to find a consistant theme to. So I instead decided to try use the celestial’s head as the icon.

Hawkeye (2021)

Hawkeye (2021)

Using an Archery board and the Hawkeye arrow from the comics as the icon, to give a very specific feel like a target.

Hawkeye v2 (2021)

Hawkeye v2 (2021)

This is more akin to a modern interpretation of the Hawkeye icon in general - being again related to down arrows and his iconic colour scheme.

Spider-man: No Way Home (2021)

Spider-man: No Way Home (2021)

Updated the Spider-man: Homecoming icon with his updated colour scheme, gold spider (much like his Stark upgraded suit from Infinity War) and kept it quite simple.

Spider-man: No Way Home v2 (2021)

Spider-man: No Way Home v2 (2021)

SPOILER ALERT:
This one I actually enjoyed creating, as I actually created the 3 Spider-man icons, as their own icon, and merged them together ‘glued’ by the cracks of the alternate dimensions seeping through. This is my ‘post spoiler’ version of the icon.

Moon Knight (2022)

Moon Knight (2022)

This was quite interesting to make. I already knew I would’ve had to use the moon - but I also thought to add some ‘mummy wraps’ on the edges, to make it stand out a lot more.

Doctor Strange: The Multiverse of Madness (2022)

Doctor Strange: The Multiverse of Madness (2022)

This one I had troubles with conceptualising. I did create the new intricate Scarlet Witch headpiece along with the original Doctor Strange emblem (from Sanctum Santorum). I wanted to incorporate America Chavez, however it looked too much like Captain America, so sadly she got cut from the final.

Ms. Marvel (2022)

Ms. Marvel (2022)

As soon as I saw Kamala’s outfit (her latest from the show), I instantly knew what design I wanted. I decided to also incorporate the pattern from the outfit to give it a bit more character.

Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

This is more straightforward, Jane’s helmet but I used the lightning from v2 to give it a bit more oomph.

Thor: Love and Thunder v2 (2022)

Thor: Love and Thunder v2 (2022)

This was basically using Mjolnir that I used in Thor and Thor: Dark World, but I created the lightning cracks to symbolise the glow when it comes back formed.

She-Hulk (2022)

She-Hulk (2022)

When I designed this, I found a spoiler image before the actual series was finished, and used the outfit she eventually wears as her She-Hulk uniform for the border colours. Apart from that, the colour and hair shape felt recognisable enough.

She-Hulk v2 (2022)

She-Hulk v2 (2022)

Kept the border colour and background - but wanted to incorporate a more law related symbol.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)

This is based Shuri’s Black Panther helmet. Pretty self explanatory, really. I used Namor’s chest piece as the inspiration and the border - very Aztec feel.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever V2 (2022)

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever V2 (2022)

V2 of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has the background of the purple heart, as an alternative.

Werewolf By Night (2022)

Werewolf By Night (2022)

This was a very simple design - it was a bit difficult to come up with much for the small show (without using a wolf head or villian as the icon). Considering it was mainly a black and white film, with red accents on some areas, I decided to base my colour scheme on this for both variations.
